How does comparison trap us šŸ˜±?

For the last 1 week, I was comparing myself to others which also made me depressed. But at the time of writing this blog, I am feeling great and I wanted to share my mistakes and solutions so that anybody can avoid these mistakes and can grow in life.

šŸ„µ How did it all get started?

The biggest misconception between people is that they are odd one and rest are sorted. ā€” from Do Epic Shit

I also had that misconception that I am alone and unhappy in this world and that others have goals, happy life, and happy families.

That just made me mad and broken from inside but when nobody is there to help you, someone is always there. God just helped me by letting me meet with a young purposeful boy from whom I just learned so many things.

From young people, you can learn, more than you think, from them.

After meeting him. I was just jealous of him and I just wanted to improve myself šŸš€.

Whenever you feel that you are urged to grow and improve yourself by meeting someone, then just remember one thing. He/she is the right friend of yours. Meet them daily and talk to them. Teach them and learn from them because you donā€™t know when you can get an insight into an amazing opportunity.

After suffering a lot, I just got to know one thing. That what happened with me was awesome because I was going off track and this little incident just changed (you can say improved) my life, my thinking, and my attitude.

šŸ„³Mistakes I did during the period of depression

1ļøāƒ£Water

Whenever I felt anxious, I thought that the problem occurred because I was thinking negatively. But after using common sense. I got to know that I was just dehydrated and just needed to drink water šŸ’§.

The mistake was not predictable but it was there for me.

Little things create more impact than big things

2ļøāƒ£Not self-improving

Meanwhile the period, I just felt that I have learned a lot and I gained ego which was a disaster for me.

3ļøāƒ£Comparing

The biggest problem with comparing is that:

  1. When we compare ourselves with those who are better than us then we lose our self-respect.
  2. When we compare ourselves with those from who we are better then we gain ego.

Both the cases will make you go off direction but what should we do then šŸ¤”?

Simple ā€” Compare your yesterday with today.

4ļøāƒ£ Stopped Tracking

I just shared with you that we should compare ourselves with the past and see, whether are we improving or not.

You can do this by tracking your performance.

What get measured, gets done.

I did the mistake of not tracking my performance.

5ļøāƒ£Talking about others instead of goals

The biggest mistake that I did was that instead of discussing goals with my friends. I was talking about unnecessary things like what girls are doing which makes the culture worse or where teenagers are headed.

Instead of focusing on myself, I was focusing on others.

Thanks for reading. Hope that it will help you.
